Walking in the woods with Carolyn we came across this lovely carpet of Innocence (Hedyotis procumbens) and fell in love with these little four-pointed flowers. This diminutive flower is known commonly as Innocence, Fairy Footprints, and Round-leaf bluet. No, it doesn't have much of anything to do with butterflies, but it is certainly beautiful and just begged to be shared.Check out TheLongleaf, MOSI's forest blog for more images and tales from our woods.
