A Late Winter Walk in the Garden

As winter draws to a close, the gardens are waking up again. Hippeastrum blooms are filling corners of the Tree Grove with brilliant orange, the garden is awash with red tropical sage flowers around every turn, and deciduous trees are full of fresh green leaves. The unusually warm temperatures of this winter have caused many of our plants and trees to blooms weeks ahead of time, giving spring an early kickstart. Flip through the slideshow below to see what’s blooming and flying in the gardens as late winter gives way to early spring.
