On April 22, 2014, the Richard T. Bowers Historic Tree Grove was rededicated following major improvements during the previous 18 months. Honored guests included Dr. Bowers' widow Madge, several of the artists who helped to create the artwork in the grove, representatives from the Hillsborough County Commissioners, and members of the MOSI Board of Directors. The funding for this project was generously provided by the Hillsborough County Historic Preservation Challenge Grant.
